Speaker Bio:

Dr. Ajwang' Warria brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this discussion. She works on multiple projects, in Canada and sub-Saharan Africa, to find out the connections that violence and transnational migration (and communities) have with other development issues. Because if we can figure out the intersections, we can co-create sustainable, relational, and context-based interventions with victims and survivors, build meaningful connections and healthy communities, and strengthen transdisciplinary responses. Ajwang’ is a co-Chair of the Olympic Refuge Foundation Think Tank and a UCalgary Transdisciplinary Academic co-lead on the thematic area of Cities and Societies.
